Abstract

In this present article, we focus on the first two chapters of Economy and Society, fragments in which Weber systematizes the foundations of his reflections. We will highlight in this recovery the influence of the thinking of economists from the marginalist turn. We will also use the text A Bolsa, written by Weber in 1894. For exposition purposes, we will begin the article by presenting the utilitarian theory in its use by marginalists to, only later, present Weber's appropriation of these formulations, especially in the conceptualization of action economics, utility and goods.
