Transforming a Digital Socialization Space into a Collaborative Community in the Teaching of Solid Geometry

The article discusses how the use of the social network Facebook can enhance the learning of polyhedra in high school. It is based on the premise that, in the context of a digital network society, new spaces for interaction and relationships among social subjects are emerging, along with new ways of learning and producing knowledge. Our contribution is to present elements that demonstrate the relevance of using digital social networks as a pedagogical practice rooted in collaborative communities. In analyzing the data, we observed intense interaction, cooperation, and collaboration, as well as active pursuit and construction of knowledge, validating the social network as a tool that expands the interaction space of a group with a common goal. We highlight the potential of digital social networks as a means of non-formal learning and their configuration as an innovative space for collaborative learning beyond the academic environment.
